【摘要】:InstrumentedimpacttestingprovidesanindependentmeasurementofthetotalabsorbedenergyassociatedwithfracturingCVNorMCVNspecimensfortestmachinesequippedwithadialand/oropticalencoder.InstrumentedimpacttestingisparticularlyeffectiveinMCVNtestingsincetheresolutionofacalibratedstrain-gagedstrikerdoesnotnecessarilydecreasewiththemagnitudeofthemeasuredenergy.Inadditiontoprovidinganmeasureoftotalabsorbedenergy(Wt),instrumentedtestingenablesthedeterminationofcharacteristicforce,energy,anddisplacementparameters.Dependingonthematerialandtesttemperature,theseparameterscanprovideveryusefulinformation(inadditiontototalabsorbedenergy)onthefracturebehaviorofmaterialssuchas:thetemperaturewhichcorrespondstotheonsetofthelowershelf;thetemperaturewhichcorrespondstotheonsetoftheuppershelf;thepre-maximumforceenergy(Wm);thepost-maximumforceenergy;theenergyassociatedwithshearliptearingafterbrittlefracture;thegeneralyieldforce(Fgy);theforceatbrittlefractureinitiation(Fbf);thearrestforce(Fa).Theinstrumenteddatamayalsobeusedtohighlighttestresultswhichshouldbediscardedonthebasisofmisalignmentorothercriticaltestfactors.1.1ThisstandardestablishestherequirementsforperforminginstrumentedCharpyV-Notch(CVN)andinstrumentedMiniaturizedCharpyV-Notch(MCVN)impacttestsonmetallicmaterials.Thismethod,whichisbasedonexperiencedevelopedtestingsteels,providesfurtherinformation(inadditiontothetotalabsorbedenergy)onthefracturebehaviorofthetestedmaterials.MinimumrequirementsaregivenformeasurementandrecordingequipmentsuchthatsimilarsensitivityandcomparabletotalabsorbedenergymeasurementstothoseobtainedinTestMethodsE23andE2248areachieved.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
