【摘要】:ThispracticedefinesandprescribeshowtocalculateIRFIonaircraftmovementareasinwinter.Thelocaldeviceiscalibrateddirectlyorindirectlytothereferencedevice,therebyachievingharmonizationoflocalfrictiondevicestoacommonunitofmeasureregardlessofthelocalfrictiondeviceused.TheIRFIcanbeusedbyairportmaintenancestafftomonitorthewinterfrictionalcharacteristicsforsurfacemaintenanceactions.1.1ThispracticecoversthecalculationoftheInternationalRunwayFrictionIndex,IRFI,frommeasurementsobtainedbylocalfriction-measurementdevicesonmovementareascoveredwithiceandsnow.1.2TheIRFIisintendedtoprovideaninternationalunifiedfrictionindexforuseinharmonizingtheoutputofdevicesusedtomeasurethefrictionofairportmovementareasduringwinteroperations.1.3TheIRFIreportedbythispracticeisaharmonizedvalueforreportingfrictionofmovementareas.1.4TheIRFIreportedbythispracticehasnotbeenextendedtoaddressthebrakingperformanceofanaircraft.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundvaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
