【摘要】:TheASMENuclearQualityAssuranceCommitteewillconsiderwrittenrequestsforinterpretationsandrevisionstoNQAStandardsanddevelopnewrequirementsorguidanceifdictatedbytechnologicaldevelopment.TheCommittee’sactivitiesinthisregardarelimitedstrictlytointerpretationsoftherequirementsandguidance,ortotheconsiderationofrevisionstothepresentStandardonthebasisofnewdataortechnology.Asamatterofpublishedpolicy,ASMEdoesnot“approve,”“certify,”“rate,”or“endorse”anyitem,construction,proprietarydevice,specificorganizations,individualtitles,oractivityand,accordingly,inquiriesrequiringsuchconsiderationwillbereturned.Moreover,ASMEdoesnotactasaconsultantforspecificengineeringproblemsorforthegeneralapplicationorunderstandingoftheStandardrequirements.If,basedontheinquiryinformationsubmitted,itistheopinionoftheCommitteethattheinquirershouldseekassistance,theinquirywillbereturnedwiththerecommendationthatsuchassistancebeobtained.AllinquiriesthatdonotprovidetheinformationneededfortheCommittee’sfullunderstandingwillbereturned.
