【摘要】:Thistechnicalreportoffersatestmethodfortheclassificationofmineralinsulatingoilsaseitherparaffinicornaphthenic,bymeansoflow-temperaturedifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC).Forthepurposeofthistechnicalreport,thetypicaloperatingtemperaturerangeextendsfrom-100°Cto+100°C.Thetemperaturerangecanbeextended,dependingupontheinstrumentationused.Themethodisapplicabletomineralinsulatingoilsobtainedfrompetroleumcrudes.Itmaybealsoappliedtomineraloilscontainingpourpointdepressants,astheseadditivesdonotpreventtheformationofparaffincrystalsbutonlythegrowingofsuchmicro-crystals.
